The climate crisis has emerged as a clear priority for many of our members and National Associations in 2026. MCLD aims to address the climate crisis at both local and global levels. This first call in our new ‘From Your Community to COP31’ series was a step for us to understand how our voices can shape the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP31) in November, whether or not we are there in person.
This call set a foundation for us to engage and have a voice. We were joined by Tetet Nera-Lauron, Philippines, Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung.
Over the next few months, we will collaborate to take action on the climate crisis, both locally in our own communities and in this global forum.
