Careers

MCLD is powered by volunteers and a small Secretariat team, spread out across the world. Our core team is small; however, we do have openings from time to time.

MCLD is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion. An ideal candidate for any job would have extensive lived experience in the Majority World (“global south”) and profound respect for the rights of grassroots individuals to be the authors of their development.

At this time, we do not have any job openings. Please check back later!

We provide opportunities for undergraduate and graduate student internships of three to six months to support our research and advocacy efforts. Interns learn about current conversations in international development, interact with a multi-organizational team, and connect with local leaders from across the globe.

Interns gain experience in writing, policy analysis, organizing high-impact events, research, writing position papers, blogging, developing social media campaigns, attending working group meetings, and Hill lobbying.

To apply, please send a cover letter stating your intention for the internship, your resume, and a short (2-3 page) writing sample to advocacy@mcld.org
