On Thursday, September 25, 2014, FHI 360’s Gender Department hosted the first Continuing the Conversation series event, which focused how to successfully conduct and incorporate gender analyses and assessments into development projects. Dr. Andrea Bertone, Director of FHI 360’s Gender Department, introduced the topics of donor and aid policies, the presence of gender in all programs, and the intersections between different types of gender analysis, and women’s empowerment and male engagement. The panelists included Sylvia Cabus, Gender Advisor for USAID’s Bureau for Food Security, Dr. Deborah Caro, Director of Cultural Practice, LLC, and Maryce Ramsey, Senior Gender Advisor of FHI 360.
