About MCLD US
In the United States, MCLD is a civil society initiative comprising US-based organizations with a strong and public commitment to community-led development, and to making a significant contribution to MCLD collective action both in the US and to our sister National Associations worldwide. It is a IRS 501c3 independent tax-exempt non-profit membership association eligible for tax-deductible contributions (EIN 92-2398648) and is incorporated in Virginia.

Our transition to an independent 501c3 began in 2023. 2024 was our first year managing our own finances, and we successfully completed our first audit. MCLD’s financial year is the calendar year.
