Measurement Tools for CLD

At the November 25, 2020 Monthly Global Zoom Call, we introduced two new tools: Catholic Relief Services presented their Mini-Social Cohesion Barometer and our Scoping Subgroup introduced their CLD Assessment tool.

The 5 Goals of MCLD

  • Voice and Agency for Women, Youth and All Marginalized Groups.
  • Adequate Community Finance: a fair share, at least 20%, of public budgets.
  • Good Local Governance: democratically elected, autonomous, skilled, participatory, transparent, effective.
  • Quality, Affordable Public Services: health, education, water, sanitation, vocational training, food and nutrition security, natural resource management, public safety and justice.
  • Resilience: disaster preparedness and risk-reduction, resilient to climate change and social/political disruptions.
