On February 1, the Movement for Community-led Development partnered with InterAction on their next Big Think session on U.S. Global Food Security Response: Zeroing in on Local Leadership. In a thoughtful discussion moderated by MCLD-Uganda’s Sophie Kange, participants came together to learn about the U.S. global food security response from the perspectives of local and community-based organizations. We dove particularly into the main problems leading to food insecurity within their context, challenges local organizations face in accessing U.S. government resources and opportunities for collaboration and partnership with local organizations.
