The Movement for Community-led Development’s June Global Call focused on the changing role of partners.
To start the conversation, we heard from colleagues at Peace Direct and their partners about what they have learned about transforming partnerships. Vahe Mirikian and Raaval Bains opened the conversation with some insights from their own work and from consultations for their recent report, Transforming Partnerships in International Cooperation. We then heard from Prince Charles Dickson from Nigeria about his experiences with partnerships.
After hearing from MCLD Sierra Leone member Doris Fatima Webber on partnerships that she has experienced through her organization, Women’s Advocacy and Agricultural Development Organization, we opened the conversation to collectively outline what it takes to have more equitable, decolonized, collaborative partnerships.
