The UN has called the Summit of the Future a “once-in-a generation opportunity.” MCLD was there. We co-hosted a side event and participated in many of the meetings. Our September Global Zoom call reviewed what happened and what it means for our work.
On the call, we followed those discussions by brainstorming what accountability on locally-led development looks like. We also spoke more on the newly-released guidance document on organizing international events and convenings that we co-created.
