Making Locally-Led Development a reality: lessons from engagement with USAID missions

On October 8, 2024, the Movement for Community-led Development held a side event at USAID’s LCS Policy Forum.

Members of community-based organizations shared the kinds of opportunities to speak directly to USAID that they have been a part of, while USAID Mission staff discussed the steps they have taken to strengthen partnerships, mutual learning, and capacity strengthening with local partners. Over 150 participants joined the conversation to discuss what works and how policy can better meet practice.
