On this month’s global call of the Movement for Community-led Development, our special presenters were Natalie Bridgeman Fields, founder and executive director of Accountability Counsel, and Samer Araabi, research director whose SSIR article at this link brought us together.

Natalie’s overview gave cogent examples of how international financial flows can damage communities, and how they can engage with accountability offices to seek redress. Samer presented a number of online tools at accountabilityconsole.org to give ready access to the complaints filed with these offices, and their support documents – as well as tools to communicate with hard-to-reach communities.
Here is the full recording of our meeting. To jump right into Natalie’s presentation, skip ahead to 9:00.
