The Kenya chapter of the Movement for Community-led Development (CLD) met today with Governor Kibwana of Makueni County and several members of his team to discuss next steps in our five-year partnership. A key milestone is to pilot and institutionalize a “School for CLD” inspired by the successful pioneering of this approach in Mexico.
During the meeting facilitated by Kenya MCLD coordinator Steve Ogutu, the Makueni County Director for Citizen Engagement Zipporah Wambua presented the 2022 workplan of the partnership, and Global Coordinator John Coonrod shared the current outline of the curriculum for the School for CLD. The governor offered some very useful recommendations which have been incorporated in the outline.
